Meet Addie

What’s your name? What are your pronouns?
Hello there, my name is Addie and i go by she/her.

Where are you located?
I live in the state of Oregon.

What’s your favorite thing about expressing your feminine side?
My favorite things about expressing the feminine side of me is constantly evolving. However there have always been two main things that I have always enjoyed.

First, I love the variety of fabrics and styles of women’s clothing.  There are so many fun options to choose from when putting an outfit together.  Second, I love to see how much I can alter my natural look through makeup and wigs.  It’s so fun to plan out an entire look, from the clothes, hair, makeup, shoes and accessories.

I view dressing us as a form of art.  I love to match the colors, fabrics, makeup etc and see it all come together in the finished look. (There have been plenty of looks where it didn’t come together!!)

How would you describe your style?
I defiantly love to dress in business formal and business casual. I like to sprinkle in a bit of running for errands casual in there on occasion.

Where are your favorite places to shop?
Oh my word there are so many places I shop. I like the little online boutique stores the most. They always have really cute unique pieces. l gravitate to shops like Baltic born, Noli Yoga, Quince, and Lily Silk. I get stuff from Venus, WHBM, Saks off 5th and H and M.

What piece of advice would you share to someone starting dressing?

My advice would be to just have fun with it all and don’t take anything too serious. There will be lots of mistakes with makeup and hair and eyebrows. Oh those eyebrows!! I about quit after my first few months because I thought I would never get a look to come together. But with practice comes success, so just keep trying.

My other piece of advice would be if you’re in a relationship with a significant other then just be completely honest in what your thinking, doing and wanting to do. My partner has been so supportive of my dressing up but has just asked that I be honest. Not hiding secrets had made expressing my feminine side so much more fun.
