Meet Carrie Ganser
What’s your name? What are your pronouns?
Carrie Ganser. she/her. I don’t go out dressed so it hasn’t ever come up.
Where are you located?
Ontario
What’s your favorite thing about expressing your feminine side?
I struggled with this question. When I dress up, when I put on makeup, wig, shoes, hosiery and accessories, all those parts combine to make me feel whole. Crossdressing Gestalt? So, I guess that’s my favourite thing is the metamorphosis. The larva turns into a butterfly. The bud turns into the rose!
How would you describe your style?
I’m a thrift store junkie! About 80% of my 11W shoes came from thrifting. I mourn the withdrawal of PayLess Shoes from Canada. Second to that – The Bay! I’m lucky to be an 8/10 or medium. Yay Bay Day!
Where are your favorite places to shop?
I love SHEIN, Amazon, and Victoria’s Secret! I also like The Gap!
How would you describe your style?
These images are all from 2024. Over the last 20 years, and three purges, my style has changed from experimental teen, to 20-year-old night clubber, to 30ish year-old professional office worker, to where I am today; currently manifesting the 3 C’s of party wear: Casual, Classy and Cute.
What piece of advice would you share to someone starting dressing?
This feels like a great opportunity to help but remember, “Advice” is often what a person wishes they had done. Until recently I was rather insular about my crossdressing, I kept to myself and shied away from online images, forums and shopping. During the pandemic I joined an online forum and it has really helped me understand myself and helped me develop some confidence sharing images and thoughts. I wish I could tell newbies ‘The best way’ to tell their spouse, or kids or friends. However, my own experience, and reading about others, I conclude: there is no best way to present crossdressing to the unsuspecting. I also conclude: wear what makes you happy. And a shameless plug for the one and only forum I belong to: xdresser.ca
Tell us about your YouTube Channel?
@CarrieGanser is my creative outlet. As a stay-at-home Crossdresser, I needed something to DO other than housework. Long story short, in 2015 I, privately, made my first attempt at PG13 crossdressing fiction. Comedy is more difficult than I realized. Check out Season 3 (2023) and the BTS video. I recently uploaded a few video shorts and I recently set to music some excerpts from private video diaries, which I have recorded since 2007.
